Choosing a career path is so often a battle between head and heart; the ‘sensible’ choice our parents – and wallets – approve of and the creative calling that drives us so forcefully from within. Like many a creative, musician of 11 years Alonso Boniche started out studying civil engineering before inevitably stepping on the brakes, changing tracks and going full speed ahead with an altogether different kind of engineering.
Now a happy Creative Music Production and Sound Engineering student at dBs Berlin, we caught up with him for a quick interview behind the scenes of our latest Studio Sessions with electronica duo Otari. He lets us in on what drew him to Berlin, his musical passions and his advice for aspiring sound engineers.
